We promote faculty diversity in independent schools.
Founded in 1994, Faculty Diversity Search is a nonprofit organization that increases teachers' and administrators' diversity in independent schools. FDS recruits and selects an outstanding pool of candidates of color and other under-represented groups who demonstrate current excellence or future promise as independent school educators and leaders. Each year, Faculty Diversity Search works with 25 to 30 different schools (see Member Schools) and places faculty in various positions, from associate teachers, division heads, academic deans, technologists, learning specialists, counselors, directors to admissions and development officers. We make nuanced matches between school culture, job availability, and our candidates' talents and strengths.
